Supporting Positive Change
The Main Street Project has been serving the needs of Winnipeg’s most vulnerable residents since 1972.
The Main Street Project offers programming and services to help community members build stability – emergency shelter, mobile outreach, men’s, women’s and non-binary detox, transitional and supportive housing, food and nutrition, case work and protective care.
The mobile outreach van is on the road 24/7 with a peer support worker and caseworker onboard. The outreach performs wellness checks, offering food, warm clothing, and harm reduction supplies, access to shelter, as well as assistance accessing other services should an individual wish. This is an important point of contact and through establishing relationships and trust at this level we are able to better help individuals access the support they need.
